The Fall Fishing is Off the Hook!

November 11, 2020
group charter for redfish

The leaves may be changing color up north the the yellows and browns but we at Native Sportfishing in St. Petersburg Florida continue to plenty of Red and Gold – Redfish and Snook!

The inshore angling experience around Tampa Bay and St. Pete is like no other in the world and we give you a front-row seat to our amazing fishery. Our beautiful mangroves boast some of the most vibrant ecosystems in the Southeast United States. You don’t have to worry about getting seasick, as the backcountry is always calm and even when it’s windy, we have areas to take cover and hide. The best part is the fish often set up shop in the same areas to escape the wind.

Seeing Red

As you can see here, our clients are catching plenty of big Redfish and this bite is only going to get better as we make our way through the holiday season.

We’re catching the big Redfish on a variety of baits, including live baits and artificials. When you fish with us, we’re prepared with plenty of both.

As the temperatures start to drop, the Redfish will move into shallower water, which will make for some of the most exciting – and humbling – sight fishing opportunities. Nothing makes you weak-in-the-knees quite like making a cast to an over-slot Redfish pushing a wake in 8 inches of water!

Big Snook are Still Around

The inshore fishing conditions in St. Pete are still favorable to catch big Snook as well, like the one here:

Snook can be a bit more wily and finicky than Redfish but they can be targeted in the same areas as the Reds.

Plenty of Toothy Critters to Be Caught

As the fall weather patterns take hold, the action picks up for Sharks. These Lemon, Blacktip, Bonnethead, Hammerhead and other sharks make for exciting sight casting and tackle-busting fights!

Give us the opportunity to show you this great Tampa Bay and St. Pete inshore fishing action as you plan your holiday travel.

We are fully operational and fishing everyday as we adhere to the CDC COVID-19 guidelines to keep everyone safe. Our vessel and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after every trip to ensure that all of our customers are comfortable and confident.

We still have several dates available in November and December. Please give me a call directly if you would to experience what Tampa Bay and St. Pete have to offer. I look forward to fishing with you.
